The brief
Every room should face the water at sunset. Warm, hushed and tactile, a home for a family of five that still feels calm when fifty guests arrive.
We stripped the 38th floor to its slab, moved the kitchen to the corner and gave each room a single dominant material. Lighting was planned by the hour, from a soft dawn wash to low amber after dark.

01
Dining at dusk
The table was cut to the width of the window, so dinner always has a horizon.
02
Principal suite
Panelled in walnut, with cove lighting that dims on a schedule.
03
The kitchen
A ribbon of light replaces the usual wall of upper cabinets.
04
Sky lounge
Low seating keeps the view as the room's only decoration.
05
Guest suite
Gold cove light and slatted walnut, quieter than a hotel.
